Haixing Town, belonging to hailun City, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southwest of hailun city. It is connected with Xiangfu town in the East, Fumin Township in the south, Fengshan Township in the West and Gonghe town across hailun River in the north. The town government is located in yujiatun, Haixing village. The area is 158.53 square kilometers (2018).

In 2018, Haixing town had a population of 26989 registered residence. As of October 2019, Haixing town has 10 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

Haixing town is named after the town government in Haixing village.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the third district of hailun county.

In 1932, Haixing Baojia Institute was established.

In 1938, Haixing village was established.

In 1945, Haixing district was established.

In October 1946, it was transferred to Tongken county.

In August 1948, it was put under the jurisdiction of hailun county.

In 1950, it was renamed District 8.

In April 1956, Haixing township was established.

In November 1958, it merged with Fengshan Township and Fuxing township to form Haixing commune.

In 1961, Fengshan commune and Fuxing commune were established.

In 1984, Haixing commune was changed into Haixing township.

In 1985, it was changed into Haixing town.

Haixing town is located in the southwest of hailun city and on the South Bank of hailun river. It is connected with Xiangfu town in the East, Fumin Township in the south, Fengshan Township in the West and Gonghe town across hailun River in the north. The area is 158.53 square kilometers (2018).

Haixing town is high in the South and low in the north, with plain terrain in the north and plain hills in the south. Fanjiaweizi, the highest peak in the territory, is located in the autonomous village, 188 meters above sea level; pingjiatun, the lowest point, is located in Xinquan village, 95 meters above sea level.
