Beixi town
Pixi Town, belonging to Sanyuan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Sanyuan County, adjacent to Xuyang Township, Lintong District, Xi'an City in the East, Gaoling District, Xi'an City in the south, Anle town in the West and Duli town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 7.9 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 8.3 km, with a total area of 57.69 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, the town has 21 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence population of 48887 people was in the town of Po Xi. In 2011, the total output value of agriculture, industry and social goods reached 252 million yuan, 134 million yuan and 128 million yuan respectively.
Historical evolution
This village is located in the west of yanpi (pond called PI, early waste) and named Pixi village. Because the people's Government of the town was stationed in the village, it got the name of the town.
In Ming Dynasty, it was Yanpi township (Pixi Village).
In the Qing Dynasty, it was yanpili and pinanli.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), for Lizi District, the district government set up Pixi Town, which was one of the eight ancient towns in Guanzhong at that time, and later changed to Pixi Lianbao. After the liberation of Sanyuan, it was divided into two districts (Beixi District).
In 1958, Beixi commune was established.
In April 1983, it was changed to township.
In April 1992, it was changed to Pixi town.
