In 2018, the area of Xinghe Korean township was 20.1 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 3237.

Historical evolution

In 1933, it was called An'an village in Suihua.

In 1936, Xinghe village was established.

After 1945, it belongs to Shuanghe district.

In 1949, it was divided into Xinghe village and Xinmin village. Xinmin village was renamed Qinlao village.

In 1951, it belonged to the 12th district.

In April 1956, Xinghe township was established and divided into Xinghe senior agricultural production cooperatives and industrious senior agricultural production cooperatives.

In August 1958, it was incorporated into Shuanghe commune.

In March 1962, Xinghe commune was established.

In April 1974, it governed Jiangnan, Xinghe, Zhongxing and Qinlao villages.

In March 1984, it was changed into a Korean Township in Xinghe.

In 2002, Jiangnan village was merged into Xinghe village and Zhongxing village into Qinlao village.
