History and culture
Wu Dashu defends the frontier
In Xingyuan Town, there was a stone carving of "Gan Mian Shi" with the word "Wu Da Shu" on it. It was lost in some unknown year. Xu Tongshen, a famous scholar in Wuxi, went to Liangtai mountain in the 20th year of the Republic of China to search for the ruins of Wu Da Shu. He met Xu GangShi, an old man recruited by the Duke of Wu from Shandong Province. He said that he was over 70 years old. He set up a bureau on the mountain, stationed troops, built a granary, wrote poems and gave life to wine, The gratitude of the kenmin made Wu Dashu "heaven and man". It can be seen that although there was farming in the Jin Dynasty, a small number of people in the Qing Dynasty came here to collect gold, dig ginseng and hunt
