Lifeng Township
Lifeng Township, subordinate to Huachuan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the east of Huachuan County and the South Bank of Songhua River. It is connected with Donghe Township in the East, Jixian County in the south, Yuelai town in the West and Songhua River in the north. The area of pear Feng township is 252.72 square kilometers, and its registered residence is 17134.
Lifeng township was originally under the jurisdiction of Fujin county. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it was assigned to Huachuan County, which belonged to the new urban area, and later to the fourth district. In March 1956, it was under the jurisdiction of Jixian County and Nanlin township was set up. In February 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Huachuan County. In September of the same year, it was incorporated into Xincheng people's commune. In 1961, it was transferred from Xincheng commune to Lishu commune. In August 1964, it was again under the jurisdiction of Huachuan County. In December 1981, it was renamed Lifeng commune. In April 1984, it was changed to Lifeng township. With profound cultural heritage, Lifeng township is praised as the first township of Oriental culture. In 2019, 8 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Lifeng rural area.
