Guzhai Yao nationality township, belonging to Mashan County, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Mashan County, adjacent to Jiafang Township in the East, Guling town in the south, Baishan town in the West and LiDang Yao nationality township in the north. In 1933, there was Gushan Township, which belongs to Longshan County. In January 1958, Jiashan and Guzhai were established. In 1960, two communes, Jiashan and Guzhai, were established and later merged into Guzhai commune. In 1962, Guzhai commune was changed into Guzhai district. In 1969, Guzhai district was transformed into Guzhai commune. In 1984, Guzhai commune was changed into Guzhai Yao township. As of June 2020, Guzhai Yao township has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages. The Township People's government is located in Guzhai street, Guzhai village.
