Baishan Forest Farm

Baishan forest farm was originally built on May 5, 1952, formerly known as Youth Work Institute. In 1969, it was renamed Baishan forest farm. Baishan forest farm is located in the northeast of Jinshantun District, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, bordering on tongzigou in the East, galaqi River in the north, Fenglin and Fengling forest farm in the South and Fengli forest farm in the West.

The highest altitude (Laobai mountain) is 1038.9 meters, which is located in the east of Yichun city. Xiaoxing'an has undulating mountains and dense forests. The main tree species are Korean pine, spruce, fir, yellow pineapple, Fraxinus mandshurica, oak, Tilia amurensis, etc. Precious Chinese medicinal materials include dangshen, acanthopanax senticosus, Schisandra chinensis, Auricularia auricula, Pteridium aquilinum, monkey legs and other mountain products. There are mainly dozens of wild animals in the forest, such as deer, roe deer, black bear, wild boar, grouse, flying dragon bird, etc. The area is a primeval forest area with Korean pine, spruce, fir, poplar, birch and other tree species. The annual average temperature is - 1 ℃ to 0 ℃, and the frost free period is about 90 days. The snow cover time of high mountains is long, and there are spots of permafrost. There are 9 rivers in the area, with a drainage area of 2.6 million square meters. The area is rich in animal and plant resources, including 17 species of mammals, such as black bear, wild boar, deer, roe deer, roe deer, and so on. It belongs to the small Xing'an Mountains with a forest coverage rate of 86.9%. It is one of China's natural forest farms and produces a variety of natural herbs There are 238 kinds of herbs and edible mushrooms, mushrooms, fungus, pine seeds, Codonopsis pilosula, acanthopanax senticosus, wild vegetables and wild fruits. There are national level Mother forest hunting grounds. The Anti Japanese union site in Laobai mountain is a provincial cultural relic protection unit.
