Gangnan town
Gangnan Town, belonging to Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Pingshan County, bordering Nandian town and Lianghe Township in the East, xidawu Township and donghuishe town in the southeast and south, Wentang Xibaipo hot spring city in the southwest, Gangnan Reservoir in the West and Sujiazhuang Township in the North, with an administrative area of 96.29 square kilometers.
In 1949, it belonged to Pingshan County; in August 1984, it was withdrawn from the district and merged with the township, integrating Zhongshidian commune, huobingtai commune and donggangnan commune into one, so it was called Gangnan town because it took donggangnan commune as the center; in 1988, it was withdrawn from the district and merged with the township, and Zhongshidian Township and huobintai Township were merged. By the end of 2018, 33668 people registered residence in Gangnan town. As of June 2020, Gangnan town has jurisdiction over 44 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in xigangnan village.

History of construction
In 1949, it belonged to Pingshan County.
In March 1954, mutual aid groups and agricultural production cooperatives (primary cooperatives) were established.
At the end of 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was established.
In September 1958, it belonged to Sujiazhuang commune of Pingshan County.
In June 1961, it was divided into three communes: Huo BINTAI, Zhongshidian and donggangnan.
In January 1971, it was set up in Gangnan district.
In 1982, Gangnan Reservoir management area was established.
In 1983, it was changed to donggangnan Township, Gangnan district.
In August 1984, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Zhongshidian commune, huobingtai commune and donggangnan commune were combined into one. Because donggangnan commune was the center, it was called Gangnan town.
In 1988, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Zhongshidian Township and huobintai township.
