In the late Qing Dynasty, Yangmu Township belonged to Mishan Prefecture; in 1984, Yangmu commune was transformed into Yangmu township. History of construction
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Mishan Prefecture.
In the Republic of China, yangmugang Bao was set up. Yangmugang village was set up after the fall of Northeast China in 1931. In June 1946, yangmugang district was established.
In 1956, it was divided into two townships: Yangmu and Banshi.
In 1958, Yangmu township was transformed into Yangmu commune.
In 1984, Yangmu commune was transformed into Yangmu township.
