Baiquan Town
Baiquan Town, subordinate to Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the middle of Baiquan County and the North Bank of Shuangyang river. It borders Shengsheng Township in the East, Xingguo Township and Longquan town in the south, Shizhong Township and Fengchan Township in the West and Xinghua Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 155 square meters.
In the middle of Qing Dynasty, Baiquan Town was a nomadic place in yikeming'an banner. In 1980, Baiquan commune was transformed into Baiquan Town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Baiquan town was 82243. In 2019, Baiquan Town governs 6 communities and 11 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 31 industrial enterprises in Baiquan Town, including 12 above scale enterprises and 134 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the middle of Qing Dynasty, Baiquan Town was a nomadic place in yikeming'an banner. In 1908, the county government moved from Sandao town to build the city. In 1906, it was under the jurisdiction of Baiquan County. In 1908, Baiquan County Office moved from sandaogouzi (today's Sandao town) to dapaozi (today's Baiquan Town) to build a new County Office.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was the urban area of Baiquan County. After the fall of Northeast China in 1931, it was the first protection. In May 1938, it was changed to Baiquan street. In 1946, it was the seat of the county.
In 1949, it belonged to the first district (urban area) and set up dapaozi town.
In 1955, it was renamed Baiquan Town.
In 1958, Baiquan Town was transformed into Baiquan commune.
In 1980, Baiquan commune was transformed into Baiquan Town.
