Historical evolution
In the early Qing Dynasty, Keshan area was the hunting area of Oroqen, Ewenki, Daur and other nomadic people, which was under the jurisdiction of butha.
In 1907, Buhai post station was set up, belonging to Nehe hall.
In 1913, chahuo town was set up in Nehe county.
In the fourth year of the Republic of China (March 1915), Keshan Administrative Bureau was set up, and Nehe county was set up as Keshan County, which belongs to Longjiang Road.
In 1917, Keshan County was changed into Keshan town.
In 1929, it was promoted to a first-class county.
In 1931, Keshan County was divided into four towns: Keqin, Kejian, Keli and Kerang.

History and culture
The origin of the name
Keshan, formerly known as "chahuole", is a Mongolian translation of "water stork". In 1907, Buhai post station was set up. There are four post stations from Bordone River to Helen. Keshan town is the third station, so it is called "three stations". In 1917, the county government of Keshan County moved to Sanzhan, which was named Keshan town.
