Xinwanfa town

Xinwanfa Town, subordinate to Fuyu City, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Fuyu City, 45 kilometers east of Fuyu city and 60 kilometers west of Songyuan City; it borders gongpengzi town in the East, wujiazhan town and Xinzhan Township in the south, sanjingzi town in the West and dalinzi town in the North. The total administrative area is 260 square kilometers.

During the reign of emperor Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty, some Shandong people moved here to build wasteland; in 2001, xinwanfa township was changed into xinwanfa town. By the end of 2018, the new town had 35530 registered residence population. As of June 2020, xinwanfa town has 21 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of xinwanfa town was 190 million yuan, and the per capita financial revenue was 6800 yuan.

History of construction

During the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, Shandong people moved here to build wasteland.

During the period of the Republic of China, Wanfa township was set up; in 1945, it was changed to Wanfa district.

In 1956, the district was changed to township.

In 1958, the township changed into a commune.

In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.

In 2001, it was changed into xinwanfa town.
