Wulan aodu Township, belonging to qianguoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the west of qianguoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County, 130 kilometers away from the people's Government of qianguoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County; it borders Chaganhua town in the East, haotemangha Township in the south, santuan township of Changling County in the West and Suozi town of Qian'an County in the north. The total administrative area is 292.48 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a Mongolian Nomadic land; in 1983, Ulan aodu commune was changed into Ulan aodu township. By the end of 2018, the population of Ulan Ao Du Township had 11758 registered residence. As of June 2020, Ulan aodu has jurisdiction over one community and nine administrative villages.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Ulan aodu township was 140 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 5426 yuan.
History of construction
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a Mongolian Nomadic land; in the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to angelainutuk (District) of the former gollus banner.
In 1937, it was the fifth nutuk (District). In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belongs to Chagan huanutuk (District). In 1945, it belonged to Chaganhua district.
In March 1956, it belongs to liujinyou township.
In 1958, it was renamed Heidi Temple Township. In October 1958, it was changed into Heidimiao (prosperity) commune; in December 1958, it merged with Chaganhua commune to form Chaganhua commune.
In April 1961, Heidi temple, Liu Jinyou and Menghu of Chaganhua commune set up Heidi Temple commune.
In 1966, it was renamed Ulan aodu commune.
In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
