Hongtuya Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hunjiang District, Baishan City, Jilin Province, is located in the central and southern part of Hunjiang District, bordering Weishahe town of Linjiang City in the East, Sandaogou town and Guosong town of Tonghua County in the south, Tiechang town and Yayuan town of Erdaojiang District of Tonghua City in the west, and qidaojiang town and dashiren town of Jiangyuan District in the north, with an administrative area of 348 square kilometers.

In 1877, it belonged to Tonghua County; in 1993, hongtuya township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, the population of red earth town had 13437 registered residence. As of June 2020, hongtuya town has one community and 13 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total revenue of hongtuya town was 4.699 million yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. In 2018, hongtuya town has two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1877, it belonged to Tonghua County.

Qing Guangxu 34 years (1908), is Linjiang County deshengbao.

Hongtuya town is located in the middle and low mountain areas of Longgang mountain and Laoling mountain. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The terrain along the valley in the middle is flat and open. The town is surrounded by mountains, mainly Laoling mountains in the East and Micang mountains in the west, presenting a rectangular basin landform. The main mountains are laoliang mountain, fangfalou mountain, Shuangding mountain, cuocaodinzi mountain, Zhuquan mountain, hongtuyaxi mountain, guazhongling mountain and dataizi mountain. Laoliangshan, the highest point in the territory, is located in the east of the town, with an altitude of 1492m; dajinggou village, with an altitude of 570m, is the lowest point.

The river in hongtuya town belongs to the hongtuya river system of Yalu River Basin.
