Caiyuan Town, belonging to Ji'an City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of Ji'an city. At the end of Qing Dynasty, Caiyuan town belonged to tongjubao, Tonghua County; in October 1992, it was changed from Caiyuan township to Caiyuan town. History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, Tonghua County belonged to tongjubao. In 1902, it was assigned to Ji'an County.
In 1912, it belonged to Beiyi town. In 1923, it was changed into six districts. In 1932, jiucaiyuanzi village was set up in six districts. In 1945, it belonged to five districts.
In 1956, jiucaiyuan Township and bawangchao Township were set up, belonging to Huadian district.
In September 1958, jiucaiyuan and bawangchao were merged into Hongxing commune; in December of the same year, they were renamed jiucaiyuan commune.
In May 1961, jiucaiyuan commune was renamed Caiyuan commune.
In March 1983, Caiyuan commune was changed into Caiyuan township.
In April 1988, it belongs to Ji'an city.
In October 1992, the township was changed from Caiyuan township to Caiyuan town.
