In 1940, Huangbizhuang town belonged to Jianping County.
In 1947, it was transferred to Pingshan County.
In 1958, it was transferred to Shijiazhuang City as the commune of Huangbizhuang reservoir area.
In 1961, it was changed into Huangbizhuang commune and was assigned to Luquan County.
In 1984, it was renamed Huangbizhuang Township, and in the same year, it was replaced by Huangbizhuang town.
