Shansonggang Town, belonging to Huinan County, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the central and western part of Huinan County, bordering Fumin town in the East, langshao town and Jinchuan town in the south, Loujie Korean Autonomous Township in the West and Huinan town in the north. It is 35 kilometers away from Huinan County, with a total area of 126.37 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Shansonggang town was a fresh paddock; in 1965, it was changed from Shansonggang commune to Shansonggang town. As of June 2020, Shansonggang town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in front of Shansonggang.

The first year of the Republic of China (1912), belongs to Huinan Zhili hall Haiyuan society. In 1932, building and street protection was set up. In 1936, Shansonggang village was established. In 1947, Shansonggang village was set up.
In 1950, it belonged to anzihe village of five districts.
In 1956, Shansonggang township was established.
In 1958, Shansonggang township was changed into Shansonggang commune.
In 1965, Shansonggang commune was changed into Shansonggang town.
In August 1994, anzihe township was merged into Shansonggang town.
