It is located in the southwest of Pingyin County, Jinan City, Shandong Province, 22 kilometers away from Pingyin County, Jinan City. It is located at the junction of Jinan, Tai'an and Liaocheng, Shandong Province. National Highway 220 runs through the North and south. It is adjacent to Kongcun Town, Jinan City in the East, Yushan Township, Dong'e County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province across the Yellow River in the west, Hongfanchi Town, Jinan City in the south, and Jiuxian County, Dongping County, Tai'an City, Shandong Province in the north. The town is 9.6 km long from east to west and 8.52 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 81.89 square kilometers. It governs 55 administrative villages and has a permanent resident population of 34273 (2017).
Historical evolution
In the spring and Autumn period, it was called the valley of Qi state. In 1375, the county of Dong'e in Shandong Province was moved here.
At the end of the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), Dong'e District of Shandong Province was assigned to Pingyin County of Shandong Province.
In 1949, it belonged to Taixi District of Shandong Province, and in 1950, it belonged to Taian District of Shandong Province
