Wangqi Town, belonging to Fengman District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Fengman District. It faces Jiaohe City across the river in the East, Changshan town of Huadian City in the south, kouqian town of Yongji County in the West and xiaobaishan township of Fengman District in the north. It is 40 kilometers away from the government of Fengman District, with a total area of 525.88 square kilometers.

In March 1956, Wangqi township was set up in the area of Wangqi town; in 1986, Wangqi township was replaced by Wangqi town. History of construction

In March 1956, Wangqi township was established, belonging to Yongji County.

In 1958, Wangqi township was changed into Wangqi commune.

In December 1959, it was assigned to the suburb of Jilin City.

In March 1963, it was transferred to Yongji County.

In 1984, it was changed from Wangqi commune to Wangqi township.

In 1986, Wangqi township was replaced by Wangqi town.

In 1992, it belongs to Fengman District of Jilin City.
