Weiping Manchu Township, belonging to Xingcheng City, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Xingcheng City, connecting nandashan Manchu Township in the East, Wanghai Manchu Township and Dongxinzhuang town in the southeast, Dazhai Manchu Township in the south, Gaojialing Manchu town in the west, Sandaogou Manchu Township in the northwest and Jianchang Manchu Township in the north, with an administrative area of 112.49 square kilometers.
In 1932, Weiping Manchu Township belonged to Jianchang village; in January 1985, it was renamed Weiping Manchu Township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Manchu Township was 13236. As of June 2020, Weiping Manchu Township has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Weiping village.

History of construction
In 1932, Weiping Manchu Township belonged to Jianchang village.
In 1948, the third district was built.
In January 1956, Weiping township was changed.
In October 1958, Weiping commune was established.

In August 1983, Weiping township was changed.

History and culture
Weiping Manchu Township was originally named kangjiatun. In 1873, Kangxiu and others changed the name of kangjiatun to Weiping mountain because they taboo the word "pig" (meaning pig eats chaff) in zhutoushan in the north of the village. Because the terrain is surrounded by mountains, it looks like Weiping, later referred to as Weiping.
