History and culture
Heichengzi city site
The site of Heichengzi is located in Heichengzi (now Heichengzi village, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province), which is the site of zhasak Beizi mansion in East Tumet Right Banner in Qing Dynasty. It is a relic of chuanzhou ancient city in Liao and Jin Dynasties.
"Tazigou synopsis" records: "since Xiaochengzi five miles northeast, 168 miles away from the three towers, there is a Tucheng. The city is six feet high, three hundred and sixty feet long in the East, West, North and south, with a square circle of eight Li. Although the city walls are incomplete, and the scale is vast, they also belong to the area of victory. There are piles of rubble, and the walls are completely abandoned. In the distance, there is a dark shadow. Because they are called "black city", so far the Mongolians all live outside the city, and the city has been cultivated. In the northern part of the city, at Lama Dala jiageling's home, a stone tablet stands inside the gate. The first record of rebuilding Dongyue Temple in chuanzhou is recorded. The inscriptions on the tablet are mostly vague. There are also some inscriptions on the history of Zhizheng's second Yiyou midsummer and chuanzhou's dalutimuer and Jianping's canon. The tablet was made by Emperor Shun of the Yuan Dynasty, and Heichengzi is the chuanzhou city of Qidan Xingzhong Prefecture. "
In 1988, Heichengzi site was announced as the fourth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units (No. 83) by Liaoning provincial government.
