Historical evolution
At the beginning of the Republic of China, xiwujiazi had a puppet police department, which was under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang County. It was under the jurisdiction of Gushanzi and Yalugou to the north, bojizhang and Xindi to the south of Daqingshan, tuxugou to the east of dayaolugou and Shengli lalatun to the West.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, xiwujiazi was a small township, belonging to Longwang Temple (now Lianhe township). At that time, it was called the sixth operation area. Later, small townships and working areas were removed and people's communes were built.
In 1958, xiwujiazi commune was established, with jurisdiction over nine brigades: shipianzi, Goumenzi, Yalugou (Gushanzi), tusugou, dayaolugou, Wujiazi, Sandaogou, banjiegou and Xindi (bojizhang).
In 1970, sijiazi natural village of Wujiazi brigade was established as a farm belonging to xiwujiazi commune.
In 1979, Yalugou brigade was separated from Gushanzi and established Gushanzi brigade. Xindi brigade was separated from bojizhang and established bojizhang brigade. That is, xiwujiazi brigade changed from 9 to 12, including farms.
In 1985, xiwujiazi commune was transformed into xiwujiazi Township, and the original 12 brigade became 12 villages.
On August 1, 1999, xiwujiazi township was abolished and transferred to Lianhe Township together with xiasanjiazi. The original 12 villages were transferred to Lianhe township.
On January 8, 2002, xiwujiazi was divided out of Lianhe Township and established xiwujiazi township. The original 12 villages of xiwujiazi were assigned to xiwujiazi township.
In 2005, Gushanzi village was merged into Yalugou village, xiwujiazi village and sijiazi village were merged into Wujiazi village, dayaolugou village was merged into tuxugou village, and 12 villages were merged into 9 villages.
