History of construction

In 1958, Guchengzi town belonged to Shaling commune.

In 1961, from Shaling commune, Guchengzi commune was established, belonging to Panshan county.

In 1966, it belongs to Panjin reclamation area.

In January 1970, it belonged to Panshan District of Panjin reclamation area; in July of the same year, it belonged to Panshan District of Panjin area.

In November 1975, Panjin area was abolished and Panshan county was restored.
