West Liujiazi town
The West Liujiazi town is located in the south of Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. It is adjacent to the East Liujiazi town in the East, Shenyang Xinmin Town in the southeast, Yujia town in Shenyang Xinmin City in the south, Xinmin City in the southwest, Liuhe River in the west, Zhangwu County in the northwest, Zhangwu County in the north and heituozi village in Zhangwu town in the northeast. The administrative area of the town is 138.41 square kilometers.
After the establishment of the commune, it belonged to the West Liujiazi commune. At the beginning of 1984, it was changed to Liujiazi Township in the West. On August 29, 1990, it was renamed xiliujiazi Mongolian Manchu Township. In 2017, it was changed to Liujiazi town in the West. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of West six family town was 18303. As of June 2020, xiliujiazi town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xiliu township.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of xiliujiazi town was 12.9 million yuan. The general budget revenue is 9.3 million yuan. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in xiliujiazi town was 4000 yuan. By the end of 2018, there were 16 industrial enterprises in xiliujiazi Town, and 34 supermarkets or comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Zhangwu County is the Second District in the early period of governance.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to the first and second districts.
In the winter of 1947, after the liberation of Zhangwu, it belonged to the people's Government of the second district.
In 1956, it was the West Liujiazi Township in the East Liujiazi district.
In October 1956, Hongqi township was merged into dongliujiazi township.
After the establishment of the commune, it belonged to the West Liujiazi commune.
At the beginning of 1984, it was changed to Liujiazi Township in the West.
On August 29, 1990, it was renamed xiliujiazi Mongolian Manchu Township.
In 2017, it was changed to Liujiazi town in the West.

The main natural disasters are drought, flood and so on. Drought occurred once a year, mainly in March to may, the most serious drought occurred in the West six areas on March 7, 2008.

In the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), six families settled here (now the town of xiliujiazi). It was also located in the west of yangmuxi River, so it was named xiliujiazi.
