Gaodu town

Gaodu town is located 20 kilometers northeast of Jincheng City, adjacent to Lingchuan County in the East, Bagong town in the west, BeiShiDian town in the city, Jincun town in the south, and Beiyi town in the north. The town is 15.3 kilometers long from east to west and 8 kilometers wide from south to north, with a total area of 119.11 square kilometers, The geological environment is mainly mountainous and hilly. It governs 60 administrative villages and 72 natural villages, with a permanent population of 38112 (2017) and 62400 mu of cultivated land. In 2001, it was formed by the merger of the original Gaodu town and Daxing Township. The main agricultural products are wheat, corn, millet, soybean and so on.

In January 2019, Gaodu town was selected as the seventh batch of famous historical and cultural towns in China.

The precipitation is mainly distributed in summer, accounting for 60% of the annual precipitation.

The water conservancy conditions of the whole town are relatively superior. The Danhe River and yuanze River meet here, forming two alluvial plains, namely east and West Xuanhe. There is Renzhuang medium-sized reservoir with a total storage capacity of 83.4 million cubic meters in the upper reaches of Danhe River, which irrigates 4000 mu of farmland in Dongxuan.

Historical evolution

Gaodu town is a civilized ancient town with youYou history and splendid culture. As early as the Neolithic age, human beings have been living here. At present, hawthorn beverage factory, bean products factory and mikang'er processing factory are all put into trial production, basically forming an annual production capacity of 3000 tons of bean curd products, 2500 tons of minor cereals and 6000 tons of hawthorn products;

The fourth is the expansion project of pinggaoyuan coal preparation plant, with a total investment of 40 million yuan and an annual output of 1.2 million tons of fine coal. It is planned to invest 30 million yuan. At present, 5 million yuan has been invested and relevant procedures are being handled.
