Xuetun Township

Xuetun Township, belonging to Heishan County, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the north central part of Heishan County, bordering wuliangdian town and Yingchengzi Township in the East, Hujia town and Taihe Town in the south, Fangshan Town in the West and Xinlitun town in the north, with an administrative area of 101.1 square kilometers.

In 1949, Gangzi commune was established in xuetun area; in September 1983, xuetun township was changed; in 2003, the organizational system of xuetun Township remained unchanged; the former luotun township was merged into xuetun township. By the end of 2018, the population of Xue Tun Township registered residence was 18971. As of June 2020, xuetun township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in xuetun village.

History of construction

In 1949, Gangzi commune was established in xuetun area.

In 1954, Gangzi commune was renamed xuetun commune, and its residence was located in the main street of xuetun village.

In September 1980, xuetun commune was changed into xuetun commune management committee.

In September 1983, it was changed to xuetun township.

In 2003, the organizational system of xuetun Township remained unchanged; the former luotun township was merged into xuetun township.

There are three rivers in xuetun township: Dongsha River, which flows through a village from north to South and passes through 3km. The other two rivers, namely yangnai River and Hongshi River, are main drainage channels.
