Simenzi town
Simenzi Town, subordinate to Fengcheng City, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Fengcheng City. It is connected with tongyuanbao town in the East, liujiahe town and Jiguanshan town in the south, Qingchengzi town in the west, and CAOHEKOU town and LIANSHANGUAN town in Benxi Manchu Autonomous County in the north, with an administrative area of 269.85 square kilometers.
In July 1919, simenzi village was established; in December 1995, simenzi township was abolished and simenzi town was established. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in four towns was 14728. As of June 2020, simenzi town has nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of simenzi town was 87.99 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 9841 yuan. In 2018, there were 30 industrial enterprises in simenzi Town, including one above scale and 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In July 1919, simenzi village was established.
In 1949, Taoyuan District was stationed in simenzi.
In 1956, simenzi township was set up in tongyuanbao District, belonging to tongyuanbao district.
In March 1958, it had jurisdiction over two small townships, simenzi and Renmin.
In March 1958, tongyuanbao district was abolished, belonging to Fengcheng County, and six townships including tongyuanbao, simenzi, Taoyuan, jieshushan, liujiahe and Songshu were set up. Simenzi became the name of township administrative system for the first time.
In September 1958, Qingchengzi town, Taoyuan Township and simenzi Township were abolished and simenzi commune was merged.
In July 1961, the people's commune was adjusted and divided into simenzi commune and Qingchengzi commune.
In September 1983, simenzi commune was abolished and simenzi township was established.
In December 1995, simenzi township was abolished and simenzi town was established.
