Taipingshao Town, belonging to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Budayuan town in the East, daxicha town and Hongshi town in the south, Bohai town in the west, niumaowu and qingshangou in the north, with an administrative area of 349.87 square kilometers.
In 1911, Taiping town was set up, and in 1985, Taipingshao town was built. By the end of 2018, the population of Taiping town registered residence was 19726. As of June 2020, Taipingshao town has 1 community and 11 administrative villages.

History of construction
In 1911, Taiping town was established.
In the fourth year of the Republic of China (1915), Taiping town was abolished, belonging to Taipingshao Village in the eastern district.
In 1945, Taiping sentry area was set up.
In 1950, it was renamed District 12.
In 1951, it was renamed the ninth district.
In 1955, it was renamed Taiping sentry area.
In 1958, Taipingshao township was established; in September of the same year, Taipingshao commune was established.
In 1983, Taipingshao township was restored.
In 1985, Taipingshao township was withdrawn from the township and built into a town.
