Xiyang township (Xiyang township), belonging to Wafangdian City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Wafangdian City, adjacent to Taiyang street, Yandian Township and Yongning Town in the East, Fuzhou town in the south, Tuoshan Township in the West and Bohai Sea in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13.5 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 21.5 km, with a total area of 111.8 square kilometers. In late 2018, the population of 30362 people registered residence in West Yang Township.
Xiyang township was named after the establishment of Xiyang commune in August 1961. In May 1968, the Xiyang commune Revolutionary Committee was established. In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Xiyang commune was changed into the commune management committee. In August 1983, Xiyang commune was transformed into Xiyang township. As of June 2020, Xiyang township has a total of 13 villagers' committees.
In 2018, there were 30 industrial enterprises in Xiyang Township, 2 above Designated Size, and 41 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In November 1958, Fuxian County withdrew the township and established the society. Xiyang belonged to the Bohai administrative region of Fuzhou.
In May 1963, the 15th production brigade was set up.
In May 1968, the Xiyang commune Revolutionary Committee was established.
In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Xiyang commune was changed into the commune management committee.
In August 1983, Xiyang commune was transformed into Xiyang township.
