Xietun town
Xietun Town, belonging to Wafangdian City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest coastal zone of Wafangdian City. It is adjacent to Fuzhouwan street of Jinzhou District in the East, bridges and dams of Lingang Industrial Zone of Changxing Island in the west, Bohai Bay in the South and Poya Township in the north. Its total area is 204.54 square kilometers.
In October 1945, it belonged to Nanhai District of Fuxian county. In January 1947, when the Kuomintang occupied Xietun area, it was called Xihai township of Fuxian county. In September 1983, Xietun District belonged to Xietun township. In April 1985, Xietun township was changed into Xietun town. By the end of 2018, 26772 people registered residence in the district. As of June 2020, Xietun town has one community and eight administrative villages, and the people's Government of Xietun town is located at No. 8, Zhongyang Road.
In 2018, there were 180 industrial enterprises in Xietun Town, including 2 large-scale enterprises and 85 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In September 1983, Xietun District belonged to Xietun township.
In April 1985, Xietun township was changed into Xietun town.

The river course in Xietun town belongs to zhuzui River and Datun River Basin. Zhuzui river originates from laomaoshan and flows through 14 natural villages, including Qianjin, yangshudi, quxunzi, Weitun, Xietun, Hexi, qutun, daliutun, beizuotun, qijianfang, zhuriqie, beipianpo, xiaozhoutun and Shishi, into Bohai Bay, with a total length of 13 km. Datun river originates from the north mountain of Datun and xiaogaotun, flows through Datun, Henan and Xiaodao, and enters Bohai Bay, with a total length of 3 km. Most rivers are seasonal.
