Xutun Town, belonging to Wafangdian City of Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Wafangdian City, bordering Yangyun town of Gaizhou city in Yingkou in the East, Wanjialing town and Zhaotun Township in the south, Liguan town in the West and Jiuzhai town of Gaizhou city in the north. The total area is 147.4 square kilometers.
In November 1958, it was transferred from GAIPING county (now Gaizhou city) to Xutun commune. In April 1985, it was changed to Xutun town. As of 2018, Xu Tun Town has 35046 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Xutun town has jurisdiction over one community and 12 administrative villages. The town people's government is located at No. 236 yaotun village.
