AQIANG Township, belonging to Yutian County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Tian county, adjacent to yeyike Township, Minfeng County in the East, Ritu county and GEZE County in Tibet Autonomous Region in the south, Langan Township and Bostan Township in Cele County in the west, and oytoglak Township, Arele Township, arixi Township and Langan Township in the north. It covers an area of 13238 square kilometers. In 2018, 9017 people registered residence in the Qiang township.
In 1938, it belonged to the Sixth District of Tian county. In 1959, Kunlun commune was established. In 1982, it was renamed a Qiang commune. In 1984, a Qiang township was built. As of October 2019, AQIANG township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in AQIANG village.
