Xixia township of Shache county is located on the West Bank of Yeerqiang River, in the northern suburb of Shache county. It is connected with Arele Township in the East, Wufu canal in yishikuli Township in the west, tagaerqi Township in the north, Shache County in the south, and 4.5km away from the county. It is an urban-rural junction.

In 2016, the township of Misha was replaced by the township of Misha.

In May 1981, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was abolished and the Management Committee of the people's commune was restored. In December 1984, after the commune reform, the commune of mishia township was changed into mishia township. The township has jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages and 112 villager groups. There are 5780 households with a population of 31588, including 2136 poor households, 9573 poor people, 25668 Uygur people and 387 Han people. There are 44 party branches, 1024 party members and 154 village cadres in the Party committee of Misha township. The current cultivated land area is 53820 mu, the per capita cultivated land area is 2.1 mu, and the per capita net income in 2010 is 4220 yuan. The total number of organs in mishia township is 61, including 58 administrative staff and 3 work and service staff. At present, there are 46 on-the-job cadres, including 41 administrative staff and 5 working staff.

It has jurisdiction over 24 village committees: kesmuqi village, tietilbage village, shamalebage village, tuogaqi village, akeyerkulegan village, kamubai village, dunwusitang village, qiarek village, kayimakeqi village, kepahana village, tuokulela village, Karazak village, kuoguexierik village, wusitang Boyi village, yishilanmuqi village, yalguzibage village and jigdaiai village Rike village, yagaqila village, yingqikai Airike village, srigra village, kuogunqila village, arixi village, qiongkulkeshlak village, arekulegan village.
