Tarim Township
Tarim Township, located in Kuche, Akesu, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Kuche. It is connected with Lunnan Town, Luntai County, Bayinguoleng Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture. It connects with Tarim Township in the south of the county, and is adjacent to Hani Kam Mu Township and dun Kuo Tan town. It borders on the north of the town with yakha. In 2018, the area was 477.13 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 3417.
In 1884, when Xinjiang was established as a province, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhongnan Township, Fumin hall, Zhili, Kuqa. In 1913, Kuqa County was under the jurisdiction of the second district. In March 1959, the animal husbandry society was merged into Tuanjie commune. In 1963, it was established from Halahatang commune and under the direct jurisdiction of the county, which is called Caohu administrative area. In 1984, Tarim township was established. As of October 2019, Tarim countryside has jurisdiction over 4 communities and 8 administrative villages.
In 2018, Tarim township has 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1884, when Xinjiang was established as a province, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhongnan Township, Fumin hall, Zhili, Kuqa.
In 1913, Kuqa County was under the jurisdiction of the second district.
In 1950, Caohu township was established under the jurisdiction of the seventh district.
In 1958, when the commune was established, the township was transformed into Caohu animal husbandry society.
In March 1959, the animal husbandry society was merged into Tuanjie commune. On August 15 of the same year, Tuanjie commune was changed into Halahatang commune, and Caohu became the management area of Halahatang commune.
In 1963, it was established from Halahatang commune and under the direct jurisdiction of the county, which is called Caohu administrative area.
In 1984, Tarim township was established.
