Awati Township, belonging to Kashgar City in Kashgar region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Kashgar City. History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to awatibok District of Shufu county.
In 1950, it was transferred to Awati District of Yufu county.
In 1954, 10 townships of Awati district were under the jurisdiction of yingwusitang District, and 3 townships of boshkeranmu district were under the jurisdiction of Awati district.
In 1958, Awati district was changed into Awati commune.
In November 1975, it was transferred to Kashgar City.
In September, 1982, it was returned to Shufu county.
