In 1993, there were 3 teaching sites and 26 teaching classes in Tuoli Township, with 554 students and 62 teaching staff. Now we have developed wolfberry wine, wolfberry concentrated juice, wolfberry leaf tea, wolfberry pollen honey, wolfberry essence, Erjing capsule and other products. In 1999, the largest Lycium barbarum trading market in China was established. In 2002, the Lycium barbarum Information Center was established, and the first home level website of the whole Prefecture, China Lycium barbarum network, was established. We have built a breeding base of Lycium barbarum with an annual output of 3 million Lycium barbarum seedlings, and have our own Lycium barbarum brand - "Jingqi 1". The wolfberry in Tuoli township has good quality, large-scale industry and high efficiency. In 1998, it was named "the hometown of wolfberry" by the Ministry of agriculture of the people's Republic of China. As another important industry, cotton has also developed rapidly in Tuoli township. As the township is located in the hinterland of the Eurasian continent, with sufficient light, drought and less rain in summer, large evaporation, rich heat and large daily temperature difference, it is very suitable for cotton growth.
