Dawan township is located in Xingbin District of Laibin City in the middle of Guangxi. It borders Zhenglong Township and Gao'an Township in the south, Fenghuang town in the west, Shilong Town in Xiangzhou in the East and Chuanshan town in Liuzhou in the north. Dawan township is located in the northeast of Xingbin District, Laibin City, with a geographical location of 109 ° 25 ′ 23 ″ E and 23 ° 51 ′ 17 ″ n. History of construction
During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), Dawan belonged to Dawan regiment of nanwuli. During the reign of Guangxu (1875-1908), Dawan belonged to the Wuli Changqing regiment. In the early years of the Republic of China, Dawan was called Tuan Kutong. In 1934, Laibin county set up 13 townships, known as Dawan township. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the people's Government of JiangWan District was established in January 1950. The district is located in Dawan street and has jurisdiction over Dawan and Zhenglong townships. In April 1951, JiangWan District was renamed as the Second District, with jurisdiction over Dawan and other nine townships. In December 1955, the second district was renamed Dawan district. In January 1958, Dawan was divided into Dawan and Longbei townships. In May, Longbei township was renamed Daan township. Dawan Township governs Dawan, Linglun, Nagu, Dongfan and Miyu, while Daan Township governs Daan, Zhenglong, Lichun, waibang and Ping'an. In August of the same year, the county Party committee announced the realization of people's commune in villages and towns. Dawan commune governs Dawan, Qunxing, Nagu, Dongfan, Xing'an and Miyu production teams; Daan commune governs Xincun, Dongyang, Guotang, Da'an, Chencun, Tunkou, waibang and Zhenglong production teams. In September 1962, the people's commune was abolished and the organizational system of the district was restored. Two communes, Da'an and Dawan, were merged into Dawan District, with jurisdiction over 10 communes, including Dawan, Linglun, Nagu, Dongfan, waibang, Xing'an, Zhenglong and Lichun. In January 1969, Dawan district was transformed into Dawan people's commune, which has jurisdiction over 11 production brigades including Dawan, Qunxing, Xing'an, Qianjin, Nagu, Dongfang, Hongxing, Chaoyang, Da'an, Xinxing and Zhenglong. In November 1980, Dawan commune was renamed Dawan people's commune. In October 1984, Zhenglong was separated from Dawan commune, and Dawan people's commune was renamed Dawan township. It has eight village offices, namely Dawan, Linglun, Shishan, Xing'an, Miyu, Nagu, Dongfan and waibang. In June 1996, the village office was changed into a villagers' committee.

Dawan township is hilly. The terrain inclines from west to East, and the central part is relatively flat. There are three main mountains in the territory. It is about 1 km long, 0.5 km wide and 251 m above sea level. The summer solstice western mountain, with a north-south trend, is about 1 km long and 0.4 km wide, with an altitude of 224 M. Shishan village committee of the lion mountain, southwest northeast trend, about 1 km long, about 0.4 km wide, 168 meters above sea level. Hongshui River and Fenghuang River pass through the countryside. Hongshui River flows into Qianjiang River from south to north, 17 km east through Dawan street to Sanjiangkou. The lower reaches of Fenghuang river run through the south of the territory from west to East. Dawan township has sufficient sunshine and strong light. The annual average temperature is 20.7 ℃, and the annual rainfall is 1370.9 mm. Because it is located by the Hongshui River, it is easy to flood and waterlogging. In June 1994, there was a once-in-a-hundred-year flood. It belongs to karst landform, mainly composed of light gray limestone, intercalated dolomitic limestone, dolomite, clay and clay. Mineral resources include phosphorus, manganese, Iceland spar and limestone. Wild plants are knotweed, golden thatch, centipede grass and so on.

The total output value of agriculture is 3.636 million yuan. In 1990, the township had 65134 mu of arable land. The total grain output is 11.666 million kg. The total output value of agriculture is 16.9872 million yuan. In 1998, the total agricultural output value was 79.25 million yuan, the total grain output was 15000 tons, and the input sugarcane was 80000 tons. In 2006, the township had 68763 mu of cultivated land, including 31785 mu of paddy field, 36918 mu of dry land, and 2.15 mu of cultivated land per capita. The total grain output reached 20000 tons, 70000 mu of sugarcane area, and 320000 tons of imported sugarcane.
Forestry
Dawan township has always attached great importance to forestry production. In 1980, the commune had a forest area of 15873 mu, including 11306 mu of timber forest and 4694 mu of economic forest, with a coverage rate of 4.32% and a total timber stock of 8850 m3. After the 1990s, there are 28000 mu of forest area, including 3500 mu of main economic forest area, 1500 mu of high-quality fruit planting area, and the forest coverage rate reaches 12.9%. In 2006, the township has a forest area of 20000 mu, including 500 mu of main economic forest area and 119 mu of high-quality fruit planting area. In 1994, the forestry work passed the check and acceptance of afforestation and waste elimination in the autonomous region; in 1997, it passed the check and acceptance of greening in the autonomous region; in 1998, it passed the check and acceptance of plain greening in the autonomous region.
Animal husbandry and aquaculture
Animal husbandry in Dawan township has always been based on raising cattle, pigs and chickens. Aquaculture is mainly to raise freshwater fish. In 1980, the commune had 9574 live pigs on hand and 5035 on sale, and 7731 cattle on hand. In the 1990s, it began to change from feeding draft cattle to commercial cattle, and vigorously develop animal husbandry. Local products
Dawan rice noodles, produced in Dawan street, are refined by many complex traditional special processes such as grinding, steaming, drying and cutting. Now it has a history of more than 200 years. It is a local specialty with a long history and a famous food suitable for all ages. In 2001, Dawan rice noodles participated in the exhibition and sale of Beijing National Agricultural Products Expo. It is famous in Jiangnan for its crystal clear and white color, durable cooking, soft and tough characteristics, delicate, smooth and delicious taste. Transportation Dawan township has convenient land and water transportation. Dawan street used to be an ancient Shangfu where the Hongshui River passed through the lower reaches of Dawan. 37 km northeast of the city, the Hongshui River flowed from Dawan 17 km east to Sanjiangkou to Qianjiang River. In the 1940s, there was a branch line of Fenghuang railway directly to Dawan. Therefore, it has been a famous commodity distribution center since the 1920s. Dawan ferry connects Laibin, Heshan and Xincheng, and Wuzhou, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Highways extend in all directions. The shuttle bus can reach Liuzhou, Xiangzhou, Wuxuan, Guigang, etc.
