Shanhe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zhengning County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the West foot of Ziwuling mountain and the north of Zhengning county. It is adjacent to Xipo Township and wuqingyuan Hui Township in the East, qiutou Township and Yongzheng Township in the south, miqiao Township in Ningxian County in the West and Jiuxian Township in Ningxian County in the north, with a total administrative area of 119.2 square kilometers.

In October 1949, it was Shanhe city; in September 1983, Shanhe commune was changed to township; in January 1985, it was changed from township to town. History of construction

From Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, Shanhe town was set up.

In 1912, it was called Shanhe town or Shanhe district.

In March 1930, it was the seat of the county.

In October 1949, it was Shanhe city.

In February 1953, it was Shanhe township.

In September 1958, it merged with Xipo and Yueming townships to form Shanhe commune.

In May 1961, Xipo and Yueming communes were established.

In September 1983, Shanhe commune was transformed into a township.
