Sancha Township is located in the southwest of Jurong County, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. It was established as a town in the 18th year of the Republic of China, and renamed as Township in the 23rd year of the Republic of China. It is still in use today. It is adjacent to Ersheng Township and Huancheng Township in the East, Chishan Lake in the south, Guozhuang Township and Tuqiao Township in Jiangning County in the west, and Shishi Township in the north. Township People's government is located in Sancha Town, 14 kilometers away from the county. It now governs 9 administrative villages and 3431 households, living separately in 34 natural villages and one natural town. Among the 13700 permanent residents, there are 18 Hui people, and the rest are Han people. With an area of 27.4 square kilometers, the township is the smallest in the county. The population density is 500 people per square kilometer, second only to Xiashu and Guozhuang, ranking the third in the county. Except for Chishan and a small amount of hilly land in the East, the rest of the township is plain, belonging to Chishan Lake polder area, with 19000 mu of cultivated land, including 16000 mu of paddy field, and more than 12800 mu of water area available, accounting for about two-thirds of the cultivated land area.

By 1985, there were red sand, calcium carbide, electroplating, shoemaking, knitting underwear, farm tool factories and other rural industrial enterprises, with an industrial output value of 8.8 million yuan, 1.6 times of that year's agricultural output value. Especially Chishan red sand, good quality, exported to other places, won the praise of users. In 1985, the annual per capita net income of farmers was 398 yuan. In the territory of Chishan, it was named Jiangyan mountain, Zheshan mountain and Danshan mountain in Hongzhi Jurong county annals of Ming Dynasty. There is Yuanji temple on the mountain. It was built in 1172, the eighth year of Qiandao in the Song Dynasty. There are Prajna temple, Jiangyan temple and the big, East and West thatched awnings on the hillside. They are all Buddhist buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. During the Japanese invasion, it was burned down and remains today. The Osmanthus fragrans tree in front of the big canopy has a history of more than 700 years. It is the oldest flower tree in the county. In the flowering season, it is fragrant and refreshing. There is Jiayu spring in the southeast corner of Chishan mountain. The spring water is clear and inexhaustible all the year round. When you make tea with this water, the water goes through the mouth of the cup without overflowing. You can taste it quickly. Sancha market town is located at the Junrong River and the confluence point of the north and South Middle rivers, which leads to the Qinhuai River. In the 1940s, nine shippers opened direct flights through Jiangning Hushu to Nanjing, which was the second water port in the county to other places. After liberation, the newly-built Zhang (Miao) Xie (Qiao) highway runs through the East and West, connecting with the Nanjing Hangzhou and Nanjing Li highways, and the water transportation gradually declines. at present, there are 3 junior middle schools, 17 primary schools (including 9 primary schools), 1 broadcasting station, 1 health center and 1 film team in the township.
