Dingli town
Dingli Town, under the jurisdiction of Xiaoxian County, is an excellent tourism town in Anhui Province, a millennium old town in Anhui Province, and the South Gate of Xiaoxian county. Located in the middle of Huaibei City and Xiaoxian city. It is adjacent to Huaibei City in the south, Longcheng town in the north, yongbi town in the East, sunweizi Township, Dulou town and Wangzhai town in the West. Dingli town belongs to the transition zone of subtropical and temperate monsoon climate. Fujia railway passes through the town, Xiaohuai highway runs through the north and south, Lianhuo highway runs through the East and West, and there is an entrance and exit in Guozhuang.
In 2013, Dingli town completed 12.5938 million yuan of fiscal revenue, 520 million yuan of fixed assets investment, 209 million yuan of industrial output value and 310 million yuan of investment.
By the end of 2017, Dingli town had jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 1 community, with a permanent population of 39574 and an administrative area of 41.95 square kilometers. There are Huaihai Campaign General Front Committee meeting site, Guozhuang Zhiqing garden, Wang Yanzhang ferry ruins (wazikou) and other attractions.
Historical evolution
Name and origin
In order to commemorate the story of Ding Gong (Ding Gu), Liu Bang's life-saving benefactor in the Han Dynasty, the place where Ding Gong once lived is called "Ding Gong's hometown". After a long time, people called this village "Dingli" for convenience. At the entrance of the village, there is a hill surrounded by flat ground, which is called Dingshan.
Evolution of organizational system
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of song. The Western Han Dynasty belonged to Peijun county. On the first day of June in the third year of Benshi (71 BC), Emperor Xuan granted the prime minister Wei Xian the title of Fuyang Marquis state. After the fourth reign, it was changed to Hecha county. In the 13th year of Jianwu (37th year) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Han Xin was granted the title of Fuyang marquis. In the first month of the 15th year, Xin Chou was abolished. in the Tang Dynasty, the three-level system of Dao, Zhou and county was implemented. The district was located in Xuzhou, Henan Province. In the early years of the Republic of China, there were five Dao in Jiangsu Province, and the town was located in Xuhai Dao. In December 1929, Shuoli branch of the Communist Party of China was established as the first party branch in the history of the region. In February 1953, the town was under the jurisdiction of Xiaoxian County, Xuzhou special district of Jiangsu Province, and later was transferred to Anhui Province with Xiaoxian county. In January 1955, Wangchang, Zhangyuan and Houtu villages in Jiangtai township of Shuoli district were assigned to longdai township of Suixi County. In April 1960, Duji and Gaoyue communes in the south of Xiaoxian county were put under the jurisdiction of Suixi city. On January 13, 1961, Xiangshan District of Dingli town was designated as Suixi city (on March 30, 1971, Suixi city was changed into Huaibei City); in February, 62 production teams of 10 production teams of Duji commune were designated as Suixi city. In June 1961, the suburb of Suixi city (later renamed Huaibei City) was established. The southern part of Shuoli district is Suixi city and the northern part is Xiaoxian county. In 1976, six groups and 32 villages of Guozhuang commune, including Guanzhuang, Renzhuang, rentulou, Liwa and Sunzhuang, were included in Huaibei City. In 1984, Guozhuang commune was abolished and Dingli district was established. In 1992, Dingli district was abolished and Dingli town was established.

Fujia railway passes through the territory. Dingli station was set up in 1966 and still handles freight business.
