Sancha Township is located in the southeast of Yongding District. The township government is 22 kilometers away from the city. It borders Jinyan township of Cili County in the East, shuangxiqiao township of Yongding District in the south, Daping town of Yongding District in the West and xixiping sub district office of Yongding District in the north. The total area of farmland is 7510.3 mu, including 6603.18 mu of paddy field and 65000 mu of forest.

Sancha Township has one party committee, 13 grassroots party branches and 268 CPC members. The township governs 10 administrative villages including Xiaoping, caijiaxi, dingjiajie, Xujiazhuang, tianleshan, Sancha, dressing tower, wujiajie, guojiaxi and xingjiayu, 80 villager groups, 1823 agricultural households and 6628 agricultural population. Relevant functional stations are sound. The township has a nine-year central school, a small piece, a total of 37 staff, 658 students.

In December 2015, Sancha Township was abolished and Daping town was renamed Tianmenshan town.
