Huancheng Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Huan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the hinterland of Huan County, adjacent to Fanjiachuan Township in the East, mubo town in the south, Hudong Township and Hedao Township in the west, and Hongde Township in the north. The administrative area is 767.2 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the urban area was 57796.
In December 1983, Xichuan commune and Huancheng commune were changed into townships. In March 1985, the township around the city was transformed into a town. In August 2003, Xichuan township was merged into Huancheng town. As of June 2020, Huancheng has 24 administrative villages and 3 communities.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of central cities and towns was 10.126 million yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. Among them, the local fiscal revenue was 965000 yuan, an increase of 4.7% over the previous year. From the perspective of major taxes, 541000 yuan of business tax and 58500 yuan of enterprise income tax were completed. The per capita fiscal revenue was 202 yuan, an increase of 23% over the previous year. In 2011, the total agricultural output value was 13.63 million yuan, an increase of 5% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 35 industrial enterprises around the town, including 4 Enterprises above Designated Size and 32 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Tang Jinglong first year (707), for fangqu county.
In the 13th year of Zhenyuan (797), Yang Chaosheng, the governor of Yingning, built fangqu city.
At the beginning of the Five Dynasties, it was reduced to fangqu town.
Later Jin Dynasty, Later Zhou Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Jin Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, it was the state, army and county administration.
In June 1936, the city ring was established. In October of the same year, it was divided into mafangyuan district.
It was abolished in October 1938 and divided into Huancheng and Hudong work areas respectively.
In June 1950, it was changed into the first district.
In November 1955, the township directly under Chengguan was set up, while the township directly under mafangyuan and yangmiaozhang were set up.
In April 1956, the two townships merged to establish wendiaozui township.
In May 1958, it was changed into a township directly under Xichuan. In October of the same year, the township directly under the jurisdiction of Xichuan was abolished and transferred to Huancheng commune.
In April 1961, Xichuan commune was established.
In January 1965, Xichuan commune was sold and divided into Huancheng commune and Hudong commune.
In October 1979, Xichuan commune was established.
In December 1983, Xichuan commune and Huancheng commune were changed into townships.
In March 1985, the township around the city was transformed into a town.
In August 2003, Xichuan township was merged into Huancheng town.
