The South Street runs from north to south, from the entrance of nuxue street in the south to Dashi in the north. It used to be called Xiaonanmen main street and wainan street. the South Street was built in the early Ming Dynasty and was initially named xiaonanmenzheng street. In 1939, the name of the street was changed to wainan street.
