Shahe Town
Shahe Town is a town in Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the northwest of Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, east of Baiyun Mountain, with an area of 141.69 square kilometers and 31970 people (2017).

Historical evolution
Because of the flow of Shahe River, it was called Shahe Pu in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1862-1874). Later, it developed into Weiji, and the town was named after Weiji. Originally belonging to Lubu Department of Panyu County, it was incorporated into Guangzhou City in 1932. Shahe commune was established in 1958, changed to district in 1984, and merged into Tianhe District to build a town in 1986.
