revolutionary tradition
Changling is the cradle of the red revolution. Changling is located at the junction of the three counties, with convenient water and land transportation, fierce folk customs, more non-governmental organizations and associations, and has a glorious tradition of revolutionary struggle. Especially during the second Civil Revolutionary War and the Anti Japanese War, the CPC Xi county committee was stationed in Changling (1930-1937). It has been recorded in detail in Xi county annals that "in the autumn of 1927, the CPC Xi county committee was established, and five district committees including Baoxin, Changling, Linhe, Chengguan and Chengjiao were established. Pan Qiguo was appointed secretary of Changling District Committee, and grass-roots party organizations below district (Branch) committees were basically established. Changling has established five grassroots branches such as Changling, Luwan, julou, Majing and Wanglou. In 1930, the strength of the party organization suffered a heavy loss. In February, the special zone of Xixian county was under the leadership of the special committee for the border areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui. The District Committee of the special zone was transferred from Baoxin to Changling, with four district committees and 70 party members. At the beginning of 1938, after Zhou Decheng returned to Xi county, he soon got in touch with the party members in Linhe, Guandian, Changling, wulongji and other places hidden during the Agrarian Revolutionary War, and the CPC Organization in Xi county was quickly restored in the whole county. " More than 300 martyrs and revolutionary masses, such as Cui Hualou, pan Qiguo, Yang Baoshan, Zhu Huaizhi, Jiang zengshan, Zhang Zhongxue, Lu Lianzhong and Xing Jianming, have died here and made immortal contributions to the Chinese revolution. So far, the former site of the CPC Xi county Party committee (Liu Shixin's ancestral house) is still well preserved.
