Yaodian Town, subordinate to Lintao County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Lintao County, the middle reaches of dongyugou, Weiyuan County in the East, kangjiaji Township in the south, Longmen town in the West and erwan Township in the north, with an administrative area of 145.74 square kilometers.

Hongxia commune was established in September 1958.

In June 1983, it was changed to Yaodian township.
