Xintianzhen

Xintian town is under the jurisdiction of Songling district.

It is located in the northwest of Songling District, adjacent to Nanwenghe Forestry Bureau in the East and Xinlin District in the north. The town government is 50km away from the district government. In 1966, jianwangfeng forest farm was designated from Zhuangzhi forest farm, and then it was changed to Xintian forest farm by the name of railway station in China. In April 1987, Xintian township was set up. In March 1991, Xintian town was set up to "integrate government and enterprise" with the forest farm. Xintian town is located at the top of the south slope of yilehuli mountain. The total area of the town is 436 square kilometers, and the forest area accounts for 91% of the total area. In addition to wood production, mountain products are mushrooms, yellow flowers and dangshen, Fritillaria, Astragalus and other Chinese herbal medicines. At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 2086, including 1846 non-agricultural population.
