Guozhen
Guozhen is under the jurisdiction of Lueyang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the western edge of Lueyang County, adjacent to jinjiahe town in the East, lesuhe town in the south, Kangxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province in the west, and Xujiaping town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.7 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 20.25 kilometers, with a total area of 219 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Guo town has one community and 12 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Guozhen was 12765. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Guozhen reached 68.05 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 109 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 26.8 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the early years of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1821), it was named Guojiaba because the surname Guo lived together. In 1935, a town office was set up here, hence the name of Guozhen.
In 1941, Guozhen was set up, with nine guarantees under its jurisdiction.
In December 1949, Guozhen district was established, with jurisdiction over 10 townships.
In 1957, dananyu township was assigned to Kang County, Gansu Province, and Shijiahe, tanjiazhuang, peijiazhuang and luoyigou villages were assigned to Guozhen district.
In 1958, Guozhen commune was established, with five administrative areas under its jurisdiction.
In 1961, Guozhen district was restored and communes were established in each administrative district.
In May 1996, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. The former three townships of Guozhen, Pinggou, ganheba and Wujiahe were merged into Guozhen, and the former muguayuan township of Guozhen district was merged into yaomuyuan township.
In December 2001, seven villages in the former papaya courtyard area were merged into Guo town.

As of June 2020, Guo town has one community and 12 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Jiecun, Guozhen.

Guozhen is located in the southern foot of Qinling Mountains, with high terrain. The mountains and rivers extend from north to south in a strip shape, and the terrain along the rivers is flat. The main peaks are Jianshanzi, shizhaizi, yangjiadashan and hanfengshan, with an altitude of about 1500 meters. The highest peak is located in the eastern Hanfeng mountain, with an altitude of 2245 meters; the lowest point is located in sanchalin village, with an altitude of 587 meters.
Water system hydrology
Guozhen River belongs to Jialing River system of Yangtze River Basin. The main rivers are lesu River and Yaoping river. From west to Southeast, lesu river flows through 9 villages, namely beihegou, Wujiahe, dashiwan, ganheba, Sigou, guozhenjie, Yangjialing, yinxinggou and sanchalin, with a flow length of 35 km and a drainage area of 164 square kilometers; Yaoping river flows through 3 villages, namely dacaoba, papaya yard and tanjiazhuang, with a flow length of 13 km and a drainage area of 5 square kilometers 46 square kilometers.

The proven mineral resources in Guozhen mainly include gold, copper, iron and manganese. Huachanggou Gold Mine and ganheba gold mine have been developed; jinjiagou iron mine and Xigou copper mine have been explored; forest resources mainly include Cyclobalanopsis glauca, Pinus armandii, Taxus chinensis, chestnut, etc.; wild animals include more than 10 species, such as snake, black bear, Caragana, weasel, badger, wild boar, takin and Jiujie donkey, among which black bear and takin are listed as national protected animals.

The flood usually occurs once every two years and once every 10 years in the early years; the annual average is 9 times for continuous rainy days or more, and once every 10 days or more. The most serious earthquake disaster occurred on May 12, 2008. Affected by the Wenchuan earthquake, 2 693 households and 1 311 people were affected, resulting in a direct economic loss of more than 35 million yuan.
