Nima town
Nima town is located in the northeast of NIMA County, at the south foot of the west mountain, on the North Bank of the west section of the Yellow River, and at the junction of Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces. It borders Gahai township of Luqu County in the East, Maixiang township of Ruoergai County and Oula township of Maqu County in Sichuan Province in the south, and Henan Mongolian Autonomous County in Qinghai Province in the northwest. The terrain in the territory is high in the north and low in the South due to the West inclining mountains. Generally, the altitude is about 3400-4000 meters, the highest peak is 4554 meters, and the lowest is 3400 meters along the Yellow River.

The township was established in 1962, the commune was changed in 1972, and the township was changed in 1972. In 1988, segang township was merged into GANGLONG Township and Jiwa Township into wuerduo township. In 1996, GANGLONG Township had a population of about 16000, and governed six administrative villages, namely, Pugang, zongqu, eyong, zhongnai, Quba, and Di'er (including bugang, zuomqu, eyong, zanai, Quba, and decha, and stationed in NAI); wuerduo Township had a population of about 16000, and governed five administrative villages, namely, wugen, Yujia, Tanglai, mugarise, and jemur, and the township government was stationed in Gongma (including zenggen, Yujia, Quba, and Dekan) Tanglai, MUGA dianse, Jiji village, Yujia). In 2002, the two townships merged to establish NIMA town.

Administrative population
The total area of the town is 141.42 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over four villagers' committees, including Gongma, Sahe, xiuma and ouerma, 20 villagers' groups and 5032 people (2017). The town government is located in Sahe village, in the southeast of the city.
