Yumai Township
Yumai Township, a township under the jurisdiction of aktao County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the South East of aktao County, bordering on alali Township, Shule County, Kashgar Prefecture in the East, Yingjisha County in the south, Baren Township in the West and aktao town in the north, with an administrative area of 194 square kilometers.

History of construction
In 1950, it belonged to six districts of Yingjisha county.
In 1955, it was assigned to aketao County as Yumai district.
In 1959, Yumai commune was rebuilt.
In 1967, it was renamed Dongfanghong commune.
In 1984, Yumai township was established after the establishment of the township.

Yumai township is located in the upper part of the alluvial fan of Kushan River, with flat terrain. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East, with an average altitude of 1210 meters.

Yumai township is a temperate continental climate, characterized by sufficient light, four distinct seasons, drought and less rain, and large temperature difference between day and night. The annual average temperature is 10.9 ℃, the average temperature in January is - 6.3 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is - 13.3 ℃ (December 15, 1974); the average temperature in July is 32.5 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 39.4 ℃ (July 21, 1973). The annual precipitation is 70-120 mm.
